The California Film Institute celebrates and promotes film art and education through the annual Mill Valley Film Festival, through year-round screenings at the Christopher B. Smith Rafael Film Center and through the CFI Education program, which is building the next generation of filmmakers and audiences.

Beautifully restored, state-of-the-art, three-screen theater that is one of the few nonprofit theaters in the US

Year-round exhibition venue for independent films, documentaries, classics, retrospectives, international works and special events with filmmakers from around the world

Serving approximately 150,000 Bay Area attendees annually
