Mill Valley Film Festival no. 29
October 5 - 15, 2006

Festival at a Glance

Known as a filmmakers’ festival, the annual Mill Valley Film Festival offers a high-profile, prestigious, non-competitive environment perfect for celebrating the best independent and world cinema.

As the only prominent fall film festival in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Mill Valley Film Festival is also an important industry resource—both for its emphasis on films that have not yet secured US distribution, as well as for fall launches and northern California Academy Awards campaigns.

Rush Policy

Films may "sell out" in advance; however, hard as it is to believe, not everyone who buys a ticket will actually come to the film? When arriving at the venue of a "sold out" film please visit the box office window to pick up a "Rush Line Number" and you will be directed to where the "Rush Line" begins. After all tickets holders have been seated, our Theater House Manager will do a physical count of any empty seats: those remaining seats will be sold on a first come, first served basis of patrons waiting in the "Rush Line." By the time we get an accurate count, it is very close to the film start time, so please have your "Rush Line Number" and cash ready when you are called to the box office to purchase your tickets. We accept cash only for "Rush Line" purchases.
